Stephen is an award-winning comedy Director and Writer that started working in the same year that ‘Chicken Tonight’ first hit the supermarket shelves. After graduating from Central St Martins school of Art, he had the pleasure of spending many happy years working in some of London’s top advertising agencies, Leo Burnett and Publicis being two of them.

An obvious transition saw him slip seamlessly into becoming a Commercials Director. In his first year of directing, he was nominated at BTAA for ‘Best New Director’. Since then, his quirky and very British performance-based comedy has earned him some Sharks, Pencils, Arrows and that shiny glass thing.

He shot the last two series of ‘Russell Howard’s Good News’ and ‘Live at the Electric’ as well as the odd TV pilot. His collaboration with ‘This Glorious Monster’ was dubbed the next ‘League of Gentleman’. He’s also written and shot the pilot of his own sitcom, which is currently with TV channels.

Stephen has had the privilege of working with a host of the U’K’s top celebrities and comedians. But a particular highlight was being in a WhatsApp group with Sir Michael Caine and Sir Elton John during lockdown, when he wrote and directed a script for the pair to encourage people to get the jab.
